Hotels at Alexanderplatz

Staying at the Alex means staying central. TV Tower at the door, Museum Island ten minutes on foot, S-Bahn and U-Bahn in the building.

The key hotels on the square

Park Inn by Radisson

Directly on the Alex, 37 floors, 1,028 rooms. The former GDR-era "Hotel Stadt Berlin", now renovated. A west-facing room gives you the TV Tower framed in the window. Usually between €100 and €180 per night.

Motel One Berlin-Alexanderplatz

The cheapest option in prime location. Design chain with consistently high standards, small rooms, good breakfast for an extra charge. Often available under €100.

H4 Hotel Berlin Alexanderplatz

Mid-range, solid, unspectacular. Good choice for business travellers and families. €90 to €150 depending on season.

Leonardo Royal, ibis, Holiday Inn

Several more chains within five to ten minutes' walk. If you don't need the Alex address, you often find lower prices for similar quality here.

What to know in advance

Alexanderplatz is a transport hub. Meaning: if you are sensitive to noise, watch your room orientation. Higher floors are quieter; sides facing Karl-Liebknecht-Straße are louder than the back. At Motel One and Park Inn you can ask for the quiet side at check-in – it costs nothing and often helps.

Prices vary heavily with trade fairs, football matches and concerts at the Mercedes-Benz Arena. If you're flexible, try shifting your dates by a few days across booking sites – 30% price differences are not unusual.
